摘要：The present invention relates to methods of increasing protein expressionlevels whereby at least one amino acid in a protein amino acid sequence, preferably thetumor necrosis factor receptor, is subtituted for the amino acid, proline. Preferably, thesubstitution occurs within 15 amino acids, more preferably within 10 amino acids and mostpreferably within 5 amino acids of a casteine amino acid residue. The present inventionnot only includes methods for polypeptides with proline substitutions, but alsopolynucleotides with codon substitutions for which a codon for any amino acid, exceptproline, is substituted for a codon encoding for proline.
