A lesson I have learned which has enriched my life
experience
When I was a little child, I benefit a lot from my Chinese teacher in the local primary school because she gave me an impressive lesson which has enriched my life experience.
One day, my Chinese teacher, a graceful lady entered our classroom with a big box in her hands and a bag of sweets on the box, and then put it on the desk, which aroused our interest before the lesson.
When the lesson began, she took out five glass bottles from the box and then said, “I will divide all of you into five groups and five members in each group are going to pull all the stones tied with string out of the bottle and the less time you spend, the bigger chance for your group to be rewarded with this bag of sweets.” Therefore, five members of each group were ready for the competition in the front of the classroom and all of us held the string in one of hand. When the teacher told us the game began, all of the students hurried to pull their own stones out and no doubt that we all stopped when the stones approached the mouth of the bottle. Some of us tried again but in vain, some of us stopped to see what was going on with other groups, some desired to ask our teacher for help but failed and some stopped for a moment to analyze the situation so as to come up some ideas. Time passed by and we kept tried. At last, one of five groups succeeded in pulling the stones out. “How did they make it?” Some of us asked. At that time, many of us
were surprised and puzzled.
“They have made it and what measure did they take?” our teacher gave the winners a sign, “please do it again.” After seeing their order, we all nodded our heads.
“In this game, they kept in order and then pulled the stones out successfully.” She proceeded, “I want you to recognize this is your life: to pulling stones out is your mutual goal in this game and all of you will have to work with others with the same aim more or less. In the process, you have to cooperate with other with a wise mind. If you just take yourself into consideration and put others aside, you are due to fail. Besides, when you fail, stop for a moment to discuss with your partners to find out why you do it for nothing and think of some ideas to deal with it.” All of us listened carefully and a thunderous applause broke out.
From that day I kept her words in mind and learn to cooperate with others wisely. When we have a task, firstly all of us will out forward our own opinions and then select a better one after some discussion and finally put it into practice. If we have some trouble, we will stop and think and go on. Thank for my teacher!
