摘要：Embodiments of the present invention disclose a positioning method. Themethod includes: obtaining a target network identifier; querying, according to the targetnetwork identifier, whether positioning information about a region to which the targetnetwork identifier belongs is stored locally, and if the positioning information about theregion is not stored, downloading the positioning information about the region from aserver to a local end; and when a positioning request is received, obtaining, from thelocally stored positioning information about the region, geographical location

information corresponding to the target network identifier. The present invention furtherdiscloses a positioning apparatus and a terminal. According to the present invention, theterminal can obtain, from the local end, the geographical location informationcorresponding to the target network identifier. Therefore, dependency of terminalpositioning on a network is reduced, interactions between the terminal and the server arereduced, and a positioning speed is increased effectively.
