Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,
I am Number 7 candidate from English Teaching Group. It ’s my great honor and pleasure to be here sharing my teaching plan with you. My topic is Junior English Book Unit 4 Where
’s my
schoolbag? I ’ll begin this lesion from the following aspects: analysis of teaching material, the teaching aims, the important and difficult points, the teaching and learning methods and teaching procedure. Besides, I will show my blackboard design. ONE Teaching Materials
Section A is a listening and speaking lesson, which focuses on the topic of talking about where things are. And the grammar focus is the usage of preposition, “in, on & under ”. TWO Teaching Aims
For knowledge objects: by the end of the lesson, students will be able to learn the words such as “
where, table, bed”and the sentence pattern “where is ” and the difference between “in, on & under ”.
For ability objects: students ’listening and speaking ability will be enhanced as well as the ability of working in pairs.

For emotion objects: the daily dialogue will foster students ’ awareness of good co-operation and proper competition. THREE The important and difficult points
With the analysis above, the teaching important points should the sentence pattern, “where is ”. And the difficult points are how to use the preposition “in, on & under ”properly. FOUR Analysis of teaching and learning methods According to the reform of New English Curriculum
Standard,
students are masters of the class. In this lesson, it is they who are real English learners. So I adopt Task-based Language Teaching method and Communicative Approach. As for learning methods, group work and pair-work are employed. FIVE Teaching Procedure
Here comes the most important part of my lesson, the teaching procedure. There will be 5 steps in this part. I design activities with the aid of PPT. Step 1 Greeting
I will talk to students in English with simple communication languages so as to bring them into the English environment as

soon as possible. Step 2 Lead-in
The lead-in step is brainstorming. Students are expected to look around our classroom and speak out the names of any objects they can see as many as possible. They will say “blackboard, desk, chair, book and so on”
. But they’ll be sure to speak “schoolbag”. Then I ’ll interrupt and ask, “Schoolbag? I can’t see your schoolbag. Where is your schoolbag? ”In this way, I ’ll draw their attention and lead to the topic of the lesson.
Step 3 Presentation and Practice
There will be 4 activities in this step. Activity one is matching the words with the things in the picture of the book. Students are supposed to review the words and expressions in order to avoid any possible obstacles for further activities.
Activity two is listening and numbering. I ’

Students are supposed to listen carefully to number the things in the picture. Through this task, they will be able to get a general idea of the difference between “in, on & under ”.
Activity three is an oral exercise. Students will look at the picture projected on the screen. I ’ll ask them to read aloud the dialogue until they are familiar enough. Then I ’ll ask them to do further exercises, making their own sentences with the prepositions “in, on or under ”as a must. Next, I ’allsk students to give a summary by having a discussion with group members as an evaluation. At the same time, I will draw the picture on the blackboard helping them understand the difference between prepositions.
Activity four is a role-play in 2b.
I ’ll arrange one student acting
as Jack, the other, his mother in a pair work. Jack can ’t find his bag and map, asking his mother where things are.
Students are
appointed to practice with partners. For further activity,
I ’ll ask
two students to come to the blackboard acting the role-play out. In this way, their cooperative skills will be developed.

A guessing game will be arranged. I ’
ll choose one student to describe the positions of things in our classroom, the others guessing what the things is. Change students in turns. In this way, students’organizing ability and participatory awareness will be encouraged.
Step 5 Conclusion and Homework
I’ll ask one students to give a summary of the lesson, the others give their addition. The homework is writing a passage to describe their own bedroom and draw a picture.
In a word, this teaching plan is designed based on a principle that students are centers of the class.
