DESCRIPTION
TheADS5237isadual,high-speed,highdynamicrange,10-bit,pipelinedanalog-to-digitalconverter(ADC).Thisdeviceincludesahigh-bandwidthsample-and-holdamplifierthatgivesexcellentspuriousperformanceuptoandbeyondtheNyquistrate.Thedifferentialnatureofthesample-and-holdamplifierandADCcircuitryminimizeseven-orderharmonicsandgivesexcellentcommon-modenoiseimmunity.
TheADS5237providesforsettingthefull-scalerangeoftheconverterwithoutanyexternalreferencecircuitry.Theinternalreferencecanbedisabled,allowinglow-drive,externalreferencestobeusedforimprovedtrackinginmultichannelsystems.
TheADS5237providesanover-rangeindicatorflagtoindicateaninputsignalthatexceedsthefull-scaleinputrangeoftheconverter.Thisflagcanbeusedtoreducethegainoffront-endgaincontrolcircuitry.Thereisalsoanoutputenablepintoallowformultiplexingandtestingonaprintedcircuitboard(PCB).
TheADS5237employsdigitalerrorcorrectiontechniquestoprovideexcellentdifferentiallinearityfordemandingimagingapplications.TheADS5237isavailableinaTQFP-64package.
