教学目标:
1.能够正确听、说、认、读单词“show, down, stop, wait”。 2.能正确听、说句子“Slow down and stop at a yellow light.” “Stop and wait at a red light.” “Go at a green light.”。
3.能完成“Role play”活动。
4.了解一些简单的交通标志,增强学生的交通安全意识。

教学过程:
Step 1: Warm-up
1.一起唱“How do you get there?”这首歌,熟悉本单元单词和句型,进入英语学习氛围。
2.教师出示“on foot,by bus/train/plane/taxi/ship/subway”图片,学

生开火车读词组,不会读的唱本单元歌曲。
3.教师提问:How do you come to school this morning? 复习如何询问别人出行方式句型。学生可根据实际情况进行回答,教师对对话进行总结引出:
Some students come to school by bike; some students come to school on foot. When you come to school, what must you remember? 再引出交通规则。 Step 2: Presentation
1.先用中文讨论交通规则:红灯停、绿灯行、黄灯亮,等一等。 2.由交通规则引出动词“停”“行”“等”即:“stop”“go”“wait”;减速“slow down”。
3.教师教读,学生跟读。播放红绿灯交通规则。并尝试翻译规则。听第一遍时学习正确的语音,语调,听第二遍时尝试翻译。
Slow down and stop at a yellow light. 黄灯减速停一停。 Stop and wait at a red light. 红灯停下等一等。 Go at a green light. 绿灯亮了可以行。
4.开火车,教师在“红灯、黄灯、绿灯”中随便点,学生根据所听到指令,立即说出相应的规则。
5.听“Let’s learn”部分的对话,思考Mike错在哪儿了,为什么错了。理解对话同时注意句型“We must stop and wait. It’s red now.”。
6.同桌之间相互表演对话,按照正确的语音语调,将对话表演出来。

Step 3: Consolidation and extension
1.同桌间相互训练,一个学生任意举起一个交通灯,另一个学生做出相应的动作,并说出该交通规则。
2. Role-play,四个学生一组,老师给同学们发一个交警帽和三盏交通灯,让一位学生扮演交警,指导交通,其它同学根据所示的灯做出动作,并说出相应的句子,对表现好的学生进行奖励。
3.课堂小练习,完成句子:
(1) Slow down and stop at a yellow light. (2) Stop and wait at a red light. (3) Go at a green light. Step 4: Homework
将学的新句子抄写在四线三格里。
