摘要：In server-client system, such as an IKVM, where a server and a client areconnected via a network, an ROI (region of interest) function is provided which allows an
ROI area of the video image displayed on the client to have higher image quality and/ormagnification than the rest of the image. The client defines an ROI area and transmits theROI parameters to the server. The server processes video data in the ROI area and non-ROI area differently in various stages of video data processing, including video datasampling/scaling, processing, compression, and transmission, so that the image in the ROIarea has a higher image quality and/or magnification. The client may also cooperate withthe server to accomplish the ROI function, such as by performing image enhancementprocessing of the ROI area during image display.
